- Educational Qualification – Level-2 (Group ‘C’): Passed 12th (+2 stage) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a Government recognised Board/Council/Institution (50% not insisted for SC/ST/ESM/PwBD and candidates having higher qualification from UGC recognised University) OR 10th pass + National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC)/ITI approved by NCVT.
- Educational Qualification – Level-1 (Group ‘D’): 10th Pass OR ITI OR Equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
- Scouting / Guiding Qualification (Mandatory for both Level-2 & Level-1):
- A President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section; AND
- Should have been an active member of Scout Organization for the last 5 years (Certificate of Activeness as per Annexure-VIII); AND
- Should have attended two events at National level OR All Indian Railways’ level AND two events at State Level.
- Age Limit: Level-2: 18 to 30 years | Level-1: 18 to 33 years (as on the closing date of application).
- Age Relaxation: OBC – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years (as per rules).
- Written Test – 60 Marks
- Marks on Certificates – 40 Marks

Tentative date of Written Examination: 2nd week of November 2026. DV will be held tentatively within 10 days of declaration of written exam result.

Eligible candidates must apply ONLINE ONLY through the official RRC/ER website. No other mode of application will be accepted.

➢ Step 2: Click on the link for “Scouts & Guides Quota 2026-27” / “Apply Now”.
➢ Step 3: Fill the online application form carefully with personal details, educational qualifications and Scouts & Guides details.
➢ Step 4: Upload scanned copies of Photograph (20-50 KB), Signature (10-40 KB), Educational Certificates and Scouts & Guides Certificates (100 KB to 2 MB in PDF).
➢ Step 5: Pay the application fee online through UPI / Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking.
➢ Step 6: Submit the application form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
Note: Ensure Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Community and Educational details match exactly with Matriculation certificate. Keep mobile number and email ID active throughout the recruitment process.

Level-2: 18 to 30 years | Level-1: 18 to 33 years. Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST is applicable.
Level-2: 12th (50%) or 10th+ITI/NAC + Scouts & Guides qualification. Level-1: 10th / ITI / NAC + Scouts & Guides qualification (President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or HWB + 5 years active membership + 2 National/All IR + 2 State events).
Written Test (60 Marks) + Marks on Certificates (40 Marks) + Document Verification.
₹500 for UR/OBC/EWS (Male) and ₹250 for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Minorities/EBC/Female candidates.
